The 100th anniversary of the birth of Professor Richard H. Gottheil, prominent Orientalist and first president of the American Federation of Zionists, which later became the Zionist Organization of America, was celebrated at ZOA House here today. A portrait of Professor Gottheil was unveiled in the lobby of ZOA House. Dr. Gottheil died in New York City in 1936.
