A new authentic list of 103 desecrations of Jewish cemeteries which have occurred in Germany, from 1923, when the epidemic started, until the present year, has been issued here by the Central Union of German Citizens of Jewish Faith.
The first authentic desecration of a Jewish cemetery occurred on the night of January 27th., 1923, in Schneidemucl, and the latest on August 17th, of this year, in Offenbach. Desecrations have occurred in all parts of the country. In seven cases it has been proved that the vandals belonged to Hitlerist circles.
The list does not include any cases of graves damaged inadvertently by children playing near by, nor of damage done by weather.
The Central Union of Jewish Citizens intends to circulate this list in non-Jewish circles, to rouse them to a realisation of the lengths to which antisemitic vandalism goes in its war against the Jews.
