Richard Gutstadt, director of the Anti-Defamation League, reported to the annual meeting of B’nai B’rith’s Executive Committee today that 107 anti-Semitic organizations were functioning in the United States and Canada.
Alfred M. Cohen, in a presidential report, announced progress in all the Order’s activities, increased membership, and the projected extension of the Order into South Africa and Cuba soon. Maurice Bisgyer, secretary, reported that the American B’nai B’rith had raised $30,000 for distressed members in Germany, and more to follow. A net increase of 17 B’nai B’rith lodges in America and eighteen women’s auxiliaries was reported.
