The Student Struggle for Soviet Jewry said today that 11 Jews arrested at Babi Yar while conducting Rosh Hashana services Sept. 7 have been released. An SSSJ spokesman also reported that five Kiev Jews, including a leading activist, Mark Yampolsky, have been given permission to emigrate conditional on payment of high visa fees for the education they received from the State. Meanwhile, the National Conference on Soviet Jewry reported today that Yankel Khantsis of Kishinev, a Jewish activist, goes on trial tomorrow in Kirov on charges of slandering the Soviet State.
