Despite military occupation of 25 Arab villages, terrorization of villages in the Samaria district in north central Palestine is growing. A band today raided the Arab hamlet of Miska, summoned seven men and announced: “You have been sentenced to death by the General Commander for informing.” The terrorists immediately fired into the group, killing four and seriously wounding three. Police pursued and engaged the band, killing six and wounding three.
Another band similarly raided the village of Attil, killing Sheikh-Achmed Kochla and wounding a man and a woman.
Meanwhile, depredations against Jewish property continued, terrorists setting fire to about ten acres of crops belonging to the experimental agricultural station operated by the Jewish Agency near Raanana.
Six of seven terrorists captured yesterday in a clash with police died of their wounds shortly afterward. Two of them were Syrians. Their rifles were identified as some stolen from the Azzun police station.
Seventeen of 20 Revisionists detained at Haifa in connection with disorders there have been released.
The Palestine Partition Commission continued in camera hearings. Following testimony by Jewish Agency officials, the Commission heard Palestine Government officers, including Northern District Commissioner Morris Baily and Health Director Col. George W. Heron.
