$11,000,000 Real Estate Transaction Consummated by Philadelphia Jew

Joseph Caplan, who came to the United States in 1906. consummated the largest real estate transaction in the history of Philadelphia yesterday with the purchase of the Widoner Building for $11,000,000.

Mr. Caplan was born in London in 1884. He is treasurer of the Real Silk Hosiery Mills of Pennsylvania and director of the Real Silk Hosiery Mills of Indianapolis. He is a member of the Federation of Jewish Charities and director of the Adath Jeshurun Congregation.
