The Combined Campaign for the annual maintenance fund of the national institutions of American Reform Judaism raised $1,122,103 during the fiscal year which ended June 30th, an increase of $92,103 over the previous year, it was announced here today by Dr. Samuel S. Hollender of Chicago, general chairman.
The Combined Campaign supports the Union of American Hebrew Congregations, parent body of 450 congregations in the United States and Canada, and the Hebrew Union College-Jewish institute of Religion, the oldest Jewish theological seminary of this country. A 66 percent increase in the annual income for maintenance of these national institutions has been achieved since the inauguration of an intensive fund raising program three years ago, according to Isidor Coons, executive vice-chairman of the campaign.
