Dr. Stephen S. Wise, chairman of the United Palestine Appeal, reported today expenditure of $11,344,470 by the Palestine Foundation Fund, the Jewish National Fund and the German Settlement Department of the Jewish Agency for Palestine between Oct. 1, 1932 and Aug. 1, 1936.
Major items in the budget were $6,761,895 for land purchase and agricultural colonization, $1,607,900 for immigration and training of settlers, $593,405 for educational and cultural activities, $489,115 for housing and public works and $563,160 for investments in enterprises to increase the economic absorptive capacity of Palestine.
