More than 1,200 persons are expected at the Jewish National Fund dinner on Sunday in honor of the astronaut corps of the Manned Spacecraft Center of NASA. Proceeds from the dinner will endow the U.S. Austronaut Forest to be planted by the JNF in the vicinity of Jerusalem.
Gov. Preston Smith of Texas and the mayors of the state’s major cities are serving on the dinner committee of which former Governor John B. Connally is chairman. Mayor Teddy Kollek of Jerusalem will fly in to address the function.
