Immigration and health officials of the Palestine Government today left for Egypt to meet at the Suez Canal a ship carrying 1,200 Jews who were interned on the Mauritius for more than four years for attempting to enter Palestine “illegally.”
The internees are expected to arrive here at the week-end, and will be admitted as legal immigrants. Several employees of the Jewish Agency accompanied the government officials to Egypt.
