Members of some 1,200 families of South African Jews now living in Israel gathered here for a conference to discuss common interests and problems. David Dunsky, chairman of the Israel Committee of the South African Zionist Federation, attended the parley. Reports delivered to the meeting disclosed that more than one-third of the 2,000 South African families which had settled in Israel had taken up farming as a way of life.
