The expected monthly quota of immigration certificates for Palestine has not yet been published by the government, although it is reported here that some 1,300 visaless Jewish immigrants will be released from the Athlit clearance camp tomorrow, under the monthly immigration schedule.
After this group is permitted to leave Athlit, approximately 2,300 men, women and children will be left in the camp awaiting the October and November quotas. The camp authorities have tightened the entire screening procedure, checking into the former political affiliations of the immigrants and classifying them into age groups.
