Pride in the fact that the B’nai Jeshurun Congregation “more than any other has made an indelible impact upon the Jewish community of New York” was expressed here last night by Jacob Sincoff, president of the congregation, at a dinner at the Waldorf Astoria climaring the month-long celebration of the congregation’s 125th anniversary.
“For a century and a quarter it has contributed amply to the social, economic and political leadership of our city,” Mr. Sincoff said. He added that for many years his congregation “gave service and leadership in the rebuilding of the Jewish homeland.”
