Two Italian steamers have landed 1,286 Jewish refugees here in the last few days. The Conte Biancamano disembarked 827, including 216 married couples, 96 children, 94 single women and 205 single men. The Usaramo landed 459 refugees, including 114 couples, 56 children, 33 single women and 142 single men. All have been placed in three hostels in the Hongkew district. There are now more than 13,000 Jewish refuses here and the number is expected to grow to 20,000 by the end of the year.
