A group of 137 Arab officials asked the Government in a memorandum today to halt Jewish immigration, as it did during disorders in 1921 and 1929, as the only means to and current disturbances.
The officials said their efforts to calm the Arab people were in vain because of popular despair of the Government’s attitude.
