Fourteen Jews having been victorious in the state primary, their names will appear on the ballot in the general election in November. Among the Jews is a woman —Mrs. Rose I. Loeffler—who was one of the Republican nominees for the House of Delegates of the Maryland General Assembly from the Fifth district in Baltimore.
In a spirited contest to represent the Democrats for State Senate from the Fourth district, E. Milton Atlfeld won out over two other Jews. In the general election Altfeld will oppose another Jew, Paul Berman, the Republican choice.
Three judges of the Orphans’ Court of Baltimore will be elected in November. Philip L. Sykes, incumbent, is a Democratic nominee, while Joseph Allen, also a Jew, will appear as a Republican for one of the posts.

House of Delegates (Fourth district) Democrats: Isador Aaronson, Leon Abramson, Robert Benjamin, Louis Binder, Alexander Goodman, Emanuel Gorfine; Republican: Melvine L. Fine; House of Delegates (Fifth district) Republican: Daniel E. Klein. One of the Republican candidates for the House of Delegates from Anne Arundel county is Louis Straus.
