15 Arabs Get 3-month Jail Terms Under Emergency Regulations

Fifteen Arabs of Nablus were sentenced today to three-month jail terms under emergency regulations. Police searching the Arab village of Modera discovered a large quantity of arms.

A soldier of the Royal Ulster regiment suffered a bad head wound today when the troop with which he was doing patrol duty fell into an ambush in a mountain pass near Jenin, the Havas News Agency reported. Reinforcements rushed to the patrol’s aid immediately set out in pursuit of the assailants.
