Fifteen new Jewish chaplains have recently entered the U.S. Armed Forces, and four will report for duty by Rosh Hashanah, it was announced today by Rabbi Max D. Davidson, chairman of the National Jewish Welfare Board’s Commission on Jewish Chaplaincy. The chaplains received their ecclesiastical endorsement through the JWB Commission, which represents the three major rabbinical bodies in the U.S.
