With more than 500 Zionist Districts and societies throughout the country having completed their elections, an attendance of over 1,500 delegates is assured for the forthcoming 44th annual convention of the Zionist Organization of America, which will convene in a four day session beginning September 6th and continuing through September 9th at the Hotel Gibson, Cincinnati, Ohio, it was stated here today.
According to an announcement by Edmund I. Kaufmann, President, the Convention will be called upon to discuss problems affecting the post-war status of Palestine as a Jewish Commonwealth, as well as proposals for consolidating and coordinating Zionist activities in this country in the light of the world situation. The Zionist Organization has during the year, recorded considerable progress in all fields of Zionist endeavors and has also further substantially increased its membership, Mr. Kaufmann said, predicting that the forthcoming Convention will be the largest and most representative in the history of American Zionism.
