What American women Zionists have done toward the development of Palestine as a Jewish homeland and what plans to make for future work will be discussed at the Eighteenth Annual Convention of Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America, which opens today at the Commodore Hotel and continues until Tuesday.
More than 1,500 delegates representing the 251 Hadassah chapters in all parts of the country are expected to attend.
Among the speakers at the convention will be Dr. Stephen S. Wise, Dr. Mordecai M. Kaplan, head of the Society for the Advancement of Judaism; Dr. Louis I. Newman, Rabbi of Temple Rodeph Sholom ; Professor C. E. A. Winslow, of the Yale University Medical School ; Dr. Haim Yassky, Director of the Hadassah Medical Organization in Palestine ; Morris Rothenberg, President of the Zionist Organization of America ; Israel B. Brodie, Chairman of the Economic Committee of the Zionist Organization, and Judge Julian W. Mack.
