15,000 Attend Passover Services at Wailing Wall, Arabs Silent on India

More than 15,000 Jews, including many soldiers of the Allied armies, attended Passover services at the Wailing Wall, it was estimated here today by members of the Jewish Agency.

The Hebrew press, commenting on the present negotiations in India in which Palestine is greatly interested, points out that this is the first time in the history of the British Empire that a Dominion status has been offered a people which is not of the Anglo-Saxon race. The newspapers urge the Hindu leaders to come to an understanding with England. The Arab press in Palestine has abstained so far from commenting on the British proposal to India.
