Dr. Isaac Goldenberg and Mark Turkow president and secretary respectively of the Latin American Jewish Congress reported today on the Brussels conference stating that 16 Latin American countries were represented there. “By its echo, this was the most important Jewish assembly in many years,” they said. Both complained that news agencies were more concerned to exploit the sensational elements of the conference rather than report on substantial achievements. They underscored the fact that the conference had an impact in the Soviet Union and that the press there was forced to vigorously attack the conference.
