$1,600,000 Jewish Hospital in Los Angeles Opens Sunday

The new $1,600,000 Cedars of Lebanon Jewish hospital built by the Jewish community of Los Angeles will be dedicated Sunday, May 11, and opened for the removal of patients from the old Kaspare Cohn hospital May 13. The hospital, which is non-sectarian, has a free clinic and ward accommodating 278 patients.

Ben R. Meyer, local banker, will preside at the dedication ceremonies. Other speakers will be William Lacy, president of the Community Chest; Louis B. Mayer and Dr. George Parish, city health commissioner.
