Approximately $1,600,000 was raised during the current year by the National Labor Committee for Palestine in the United States, it was reported today by A. Hamlin, secretary, at the closing session of a two-day conference of the Committee. This is an increase of $400,000 as compared with the sum raised last year. The conference heard a number of reports on Palestine by Eliezer Kaplan, treasurer of the Jewish Agency, Israel Mereminsky, American representative of the Histadruth, and Eliahu Epstein and Reuben Zaslani, representatives of the political department of the Jewish Agency.
