One hundred and seventy-four Jewish refugees stranded in Shanghai during the war arrived here aboard the Marine Adder.
The immigrants, former nationals of Germany and Austria, were met at the pier by representatives of the United Service for New Americans which will aid them in resettling in this country. They were assisted by the Joint Distribution Committee in Shanghai where immigration and transportation arrangements had to be made.
