Increased activity by Konrad Henlein’s Sudeten German Party has already forced 176 Jewish commercial and industrial firms to transfer their operations from Sudeten Germany to Czech territory, according to an estimate by informed economic quarters

Both Germans and Czechs are reacting unfavorably to this movement, the Czechs terming it defeatist, while the Germans complain of “robbery of German national property.” Thus there is a danger of growing anti-Jewish feeling on both sides because of the business transfers, which, however are felt to be unavoidable in view of social and political conditions in the Sudeten area.
