Eighteen boys and girls were confirmed today at the Beth David Synagogue here. The confirmands are:
Molly Engler, Thelma Gropper, Shirley Haimes, Margaret Horowitz, Molly Horowitz, Lillian Kaplan, Robert Kaplan, Stanley Jamison, Harriet Katzif, Marshall Levin, Roy Mechlowitz, Ethel Pont, Lillian Relman, Evelyn Rosenthal, Blanche Seligman, Harold Siegel, Melvin Weinkle and Bernard Westhoff.
During the exercises honorary teachers’ diplomas were given to several members of the congregation, and pupils of the teachers’ training group received teachers’ diplomas.
More than 100 boys and girls joined a junior congregation formed at the synagogue during the year.
