18 Jews Arrested in Bavaria En Route to Break Up Moslem Demonstration

Eighteen displaced Jews were today arrested in the ## town of Neu Ulm on charges of brandishing knives and clubs while en route ## up an anti-Jewish demonstration being staged by Mohammedan DP’s.

The arrests climaxed several days of fighting between groups of Jewish and ## DP’s following the U.N. decision to partition Palestine. During the clashes ## Jews were badly beaten and one Moslem was knifed.

Today, the Moslem DP’s held an anti-Jewish demonstration in front of the ##l in which the stabbed man was lying. As the Jewish force neared the de##ators it was halted by American constabulary troops and the 18 were arrested. ##my and Jewish authorities are investigating the incident.
