Nineteen students of the Rabbinical School of the Jewish Theological Seminary were ordained yesterday as “rabbi, teacher and preacher” at the Seminary’s 57th annual commencement exercises; 22 received teaching degrees.
A citation for “distinguished service” in advancing the principle of Judaism was conferred upon the National Women’s League of the United Synagogue of America by Dr. Louis Finkelstein, president of the Seminary. The League numbers more than 100,000 women in all parts of the United States and Canada. The citation was accepted.
