More than 1,900 Jews and Jewesses enlisted in various branches of the British armed forces here during the month of July, it was announced today. The July enlistments brings the total number of Palestine Jews in the British army to 16,000, including 1,500 women.
Among the latest recruits is Dr. Stern, former president of the Rumanian Zionist Organization, and Dr. Chaim Bugrashev, 66-year-old director of a Tel Aviv school who has joined the special police.
