Rabbi J. Horovitz, leader of the Frankfort Orthodox Congregation, and Hans Pomeranz, secretary of the Frankfort Zionist Organization and a member of the Jewish Community board, were under arrest today on charges of attempting to assist Austrian Jewish refugees across the border.
It was reported from Duesseldorf that a majority of the 40 Austrian Jewish refugees recently imprisoned there after their deportation from Holland as illegal immigrants have been permitted to return to Vienna.

Nazis superintended the work of destruction and ordered Jewish women to scrub the walls and floors.
