Two Jewish Defense League members, Robert Fine, 26, of Brooklyn, and David Levine, 19, a college student, were sentenced in federal district court Friday to prison terms on pleas of guilty to charges of plotting to place two pipe bombs at the Soviet Mission summer estate in Glen Cove, N.Y. last May. Fine was sentenced to three years and Levine, a student at Nassau Community College in West Hempstead, N.Y., received a year and a day. They pleaded guilty on Aug. 4 in federal district court. They were arrested, with two younger suspects, last May 23 at the Lido Beach Jewish Center by Nassau police and Treasury agents.
