The Davar and the Haaretz, Hebrew dailies, today printed a story to the effect that Zvi Rosenblatt, of Kfarsaba, has been identified by Mrs. Arlosoroff as one of the two men sought in connection with the murder of Dr. Chaim Arlosoroff on June 16 at Tel Aviv. The head of the criminal investigation department of the Palestine police informed the Jewish Telegraphic Agency that he was able neither to confirm nor deny this assertion. It was indicated by the police that the editors of the Davar and the Haaretz may be summoned to court for publishing the rumor.
Rosenblatt was arrested on Sunday when police rounded up Revisionist and B’rith Trumpeldorite suspects in various sections of Palestine. He was held by the police, though most of the others were released.
