Recruiting has opened for two new Jewish and Arab units to serve with the British forces, it was officially announced today.
The Jewish authorities expressed confidence that enlistment for the Jewish unit would be concluded within a week. Each unit will comprise 250 men. Approximately 8,000 Jews are already serving in the British forces.
