Two soldiers from the South Lebanon Army, Israel’s ally in the region, were killed and another wounded when an explosive device went off near their patrol.
The Islamic fundamentalist Hezbollah movement claimed responsibility for the incident, which occurred in the western sector of the souther Lebanon security zone.
The incident comes after a similar explosion Saturday, when a SLA soldier was wounded after an armored personnel carrier went over a mine.
