More than 20 Jews were arrested in Tangiers when international police raided a clandestine meeting of about 100 Jews outside the city, it was reported today by the Sunday Express.
According to the dispatch, last Thursday evening hundreds of pamphlets were pushed under doors of Jewish homes in Tangiers urging that the recipients attend a secret meeting at a lonely spot near the city, A Jewish spokesman, the Express reported, said that the object of the meeting was to recruit volunteers for Palestine.
