Serious anti-Jewish disturbances took place last week in the University of Klausenburg, the capital of Transylvania which passed from Rumania to Hungary about a year ago, it is reported in the German press today.
More than 200 Jewish students were driven out of the University buildings during the disturbances which occurred on November 27. All Jewish stores in the vicinity were closed down for fear of riots, according to the German newspapers.
The Hungarian press reports that by the end of this year a total of 162,000 acres of Jewish land in Hungary will be transferred to Hungarian small farmers and that during the coming year some 9,000 new homes will be established for Hungarians on Jewish land.
