The Soviet Union has delivered 200 MIG jet planes to Egypt, together with 150 T-34 heavy tanks–post-war model–and several dozen World War II Stalin tanks, the newspaper Davar reported today.
The dispatch added that the USSR had promised to deliver a number of submarines to the Egyptian Navy within three months. The same source informed Davar that the Soviet Union plans to establish a major arms depot in Egypt from which to supply Arab and African states.
