More than 2, 000 Jewish scouts are expected to be among the 55,000 Boy Scouts attending the National Jamobree of the Boy Scouts of America July 22-28 at Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Rabbi Aryeh Lev, director of the National Jewish Welfare Board Commission on Jewish Chaplaincy,will attend the Jamboree along with eight other chaplains to minister to the religious needs of the Jewish Scouts.
Religious service will be held for the Jewish boys and kosher food will be provided for those observing dietary laws. A group of 12 Israeli Boy Scouts now visiting the United States, will attend the jamboree.
