Twenty thousand Jewish war veterans today marched down Fifth Avenue in a parade which preceded the 51st memorial services of the Jewish War Veterans of America. The religious services were held at Temple Emanu-El.
The parade was reviewed by Senator Warren G. Magnuson of Washington, Mayor William O’Dwyer, numerous Congressmen and representatives of the Army and Navy as well as Jewish communal leaders. Music was provided by 20 bands from J.W.V. posts, the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Ware, and other veterans organizations.
