Mayor Wagner, Dr. Israel Goldstein and Edward G. Robinson, noted actor, officiated at the annual kindling of the Chanukah menorah at City Hall this week-end. The menorah which was featured in the City Hall ceremony is an eight-branch candelabrum recalling the eight-day miracle which occurred during the rededication of the Temple after the Maccabean victory. At that time a cruse of oil, sufficient only for burning one day, lasted eight days.
