An extraordinary grant of $200,000 for war relief purposes in Palestine has just been made by the Joint distribution Committee, it was announced here today. The grant was made at the request of the Jewish Agency for Palestine and various Zionist organizations.
“Despite the heavy demands which are being made on our funds from numerous quarters of Europe, Latin America and other areas, we of the Joint Distribution Committee recognize the vital necessity of up-holding the hands of Palestinian Jews at this critical juncture,” a J.D.C. statement declared.
