President Zalman Shazar, Prime Minister Levi Eshkol and veteran labor leaders of all parties were among the 5, 000 persons who attended ceremonies on the shores of Lake Kineret commemorating the 20th anniversary of the death of Berl Katznelson, the famed philosopher of the Zionist labor movement and late editor of Davar, the Histadrut daily.
In his address at the meeting, Premier Eshkol stressed the need for unity of the labor movement, which, he said, was the desire of Berl Katznelson. President Shazar paid homage to Katznelson when he passed by his graveside along the shores of the Kineret.
