A record crowd of 2200 attended the annual Holocaust memorial here yesterday sponsored by the Canadian Jewish Congress. There was no guest speaker and no speeches other than brief remarks by CJCongress regional chairman David Satok and Memorial Committee chairman Mrs. L. Frieberg. Three local cantors–Joseph Cooper, Martin Rosenblum and Severin Weingort, all survivors of concentration camps–participated in song and liturgy. Fifteen local rabbis led the prayers. An original narrative and song recital based on Holocaust history was presented.
