(Jewish Telegraphic Agency)
The first Palestine loan amounting to £4,475,000 was offered today on the London market. The stock, 5 per cent. guaranteed, was offered for public subscription at 1001/2 per cent.
The principal and interest on the loan is guaranteed by the British treasury and is redeemable in 1967. The Palestine government reserves the right to redeem the stock at par at any time after 1942.
Interest is payable twice yearly. The Jewish Telegraphic Agency understands that the whole amount has already been underwritten.
