The Education Ministry reported that the Sir Isaac and Lady Wolfson Scholarship Fund for Secondary and Higher Education awarded 2,276 scholarships to needy students in Israel during the past four years.
The Ministry also announced that the fund was set up by the British Jewish philanthropist as an annual budget of 100,000 pounds ($33,300). Sir Isaac became an honorary citizen of Acre by a unanimous vote of the Acre municipal council last night.
