A resolution reasserting the “historical and internationally recognized, legally established rights of the Jewish people to Palestine” and expressing support of whatever action shall be taken by the forthcoming World Zionist Congress for the early establishment of a Jewish state, was adopted yesterday at the opening session here of the 23rd annual convention of the Junior Hadassah. More than 1,000 delegates from 40 states are attending.
Mrs. Sulamith S. Nardi, honorary president of the Junior Hadassah, and Tuvia Arazi, expert on oriental affairs for the Jewish Agency, were the main speakers at the opening session. Messages from President Truman, Dr. Chaim Weizmann, Goldie Meirson and Bernard Joseph were read to the delegates.
