A TENSE SITUATION EXISTED HERE TODAY FOLLOWING A RIOT LAST NIGHT IN WHICH AUSTRIAN POLICE ARRESTED 25 AND SCATTERED THE REMAINDER OF 800 NAZIS WHO DEMONSTRATED IN FRONT OF THE LOCAL PRISON, WHERE 20 OF THEIR FRIENDS HAVE BEEN ON A HUNGER STRIKE FOR A WEEK. THE DISORDERS STARTED WHEN THE MILLING CROWD CLAMORED FOR THE RELEASE OF THE PRISONERS. THE POLICE, FEARING AN INCIPIENT RIOT, BROKE UP THE DEMONSTRATION.
