Twenty-five Milwaukeeans who lived in the Saar territory up to June 19, 1919, are getting free trips back to the Saar to take part in the plebiscite on January 1.
Their expenses are being paid by the Verein der Saarlaender, reputedly from contributions made by German “patriotic” groups, but actually, it is believed, from funds coming out of the German government treasury.
