More than 250 Jewish high school and college students will participate in the Zionist Organization of America’s study-and-travel programs this summer in Israel. The students, from 73 communities in 19 states, were selected from among 1800 applicants for the seven-week camping, institute and leadership training programs, Bernard M. Rifkin, chairman of the ZOA’s National Youth Committee, reported. Rifkin said that the large number of applications enabled the ZOA to close registration at the earliest date in the programs’ 10-year history. The programs are conducted by Masada, national youth movement of the 110,000-member ZOA. This year’s programs begin July 3.
